WALT: I can describe the characteristics of music from songs of a different time and place Over the past 7 weeks I have been learning to describe the characteristics of music from songs of a different time and place I can describe these characteristics in a piece of music - Melody, A bunch of notes that are played repetitively, (bits that get stuck in your head) - Harmony, A bunch of notes played together that play a sound - Rhythm, Repeated sounds that change pace and volume throughout the song, - Timbre, What makes the song unique - Form, How the song is put together Here is an example of my learning

WALT: apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of different scenarios. Improvisation techniques that I have used successfully are never say no to whatever your partner is saying and listen to your partner. Improvisation techniques that I would like to have more practice and stay in character The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was the improv games because they were very fun. The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was the family portraits game because I was uncomfortable about standing up in ront of a crowd My favourite improv game was Alphabet because it was very fun and challenged your on the spot skills. My next step/ something I need to work on further  in improvisation is to be more enthusiastic about Improv because it could ruin the improv.

What: We have been working with Room 1, 2 and 11 to complete our mural for the school. So What: My group did Buzzy Bee and I was happy about the face and how it turned out. Now What: I would take out the black mark on the lower left corner of the board and do another coat on the antenna and the ball.

What: We have constructed a self-portrait based on what we will like to do when we're older Now what: I would make the shape of my head a little more accurate, I would make my eyes the same shape.

What: To draw a self portrait of Ma'a Nonu. So What: We had to draw a self portrait of Ma'a Nonu. We had to draw the shape of the head. Then we had to draw the eyes, mouth and nose. Then we drew hair. Now What: I can improve by making the shading better.
