Drama Improvisation Term 1

WALT: apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of different scenarios.
Improvisation techniques that I have used successfully are never say no to whatever your partner is saying and listen to your partner.
Improvisation techniques that I would like to have more practice and stay in character
The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was the improv games because they were very fun.
The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was the family portraits game because I was uncomfortable about standing up in ront of a crowd
My favourite improv game was Alphabet because it was very fun and challenged your on the spot skills.
My next step/ something I need to work on further  in improvisation is to be more enthusiastic about Improv because it could ruin the improv.

Term 1 Integrated Learning: Leadership Reflection

We have been learning all about What makes a good leader.

Here is a link to the Leadership modelling book.

We identified that good leaders show 6 main character traits. These are Integrity, Resilient, Trustworthy, Motivational, Goal Focused and Active Thinker. The leadership trait that I think I show the most is Trustworthy because people can trust me to choose the right place to do my learning and that I will get it done.

The leadership trait I would most like to develop is Motivational because it would be helpful in the future.

Something NEW I have learned about leadership is that the definition of leadership is basically the skill of being able to motivate an individual or team towards a goal.
The SOLO level that I reached during this unit of learning is Extended Abstract because I can say who is a better leader using information from sites and books like I did in my exposition writing.


My next step in learning about leadership is to apply everything that I have learned about leadership …

Peer Mediation Merit 1

On Friday we walked around the kakano area and some junior kids had a fight that had gone violent when someone threw a ball at one of their faces. We brought the one that had been hit on the head to the orange teacher near room 23 and sent the rest to a duty teacher. We then walked around half of the Room 1 to 6 area. That was kind of it for my duty because the bell rang shortly after.  I think I showed communicate because the juniors didn't really understand what I was saying and I had to use some words that they would understand.

Year ⅞ -  I can use appropriate skills and technologies to find and use a range of texts for specific purposes.

For my “Evaluating Leaders” research I have been researching about Mother Teresa and Sir Edmund Hillary.

During this unit I have had to use a range of strategies to find the information I needed on Google. This includes: Cross-checking Using Advanced Search
I have achieved this goal because I cross-checked my new info that I found, making sure its true.
My next step is to set a new reading goal.
