WALT: Follow The Writing Process to write an exposition Full Exposition In this exposition I compared Mother Teresa and Sir Edmund Hillary, using some research skills that I learnt from a slide. I think that Mother Teresa is the better leader because she founded a group that has saved millions.

WALT: apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of different scenarios. Improvisation techniques that I have used successfully are never say no to whatever your partner is saying and listen to your partner. Improvisation techniques that I would like to have more practice and stay in character The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was the improv games because they were very fun. The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was the family portraits game because I was uncomfortable about standing up in ront of a crowd My favourite improv game was Alphabet because it was very fun and challenged your on the spot skills. My next step/ something I need to work on further  in improvisation is to be more enthusiastic about Improv because it could ruin the improv.

We have been learning all about What makes a good leader. Here is a link to the Leadership modelling book. We identified that good leaders show 6 main character traits. These are Integrity, Resilient, Trustworthy, Motivational, Goal Focused and Active Thinker. The leadership trait that I think I show the most is Trustworthy because people can trust me to choose the right place to do my learning and that I will get it done. The leadership trait I would most like to develop is Motivational because it would be helpful in the future. Something NEW I have learned about leadership is that the definition of leadership is basically the skill of being able to motivate an individual or team towards a goal. The SOLO level that I reached during this unit of learning is Extended Abstract because I can say who is a better leader using information from sites and books like I did in my exposition writing. My next step in learning about leadership is to apply everything ...

On Friday we walked around the kakano area and some junior kids had a fight that had gone violent when someone threw a ball at one of their faces. We brought the one that had been hit on the head to the orange teacher near room 23 and sent the rest to a duty teacher. We then walked around half of the Room 1 to 6 area. That was kind of it for my duty because the bell rang shortly after.  I think I showed communicate because the juniors didn't really understand what I was saying and I had to use some words that they would understand.

Exposition Plan Year ⅞ -  I can use appropriate skills and technologies to find and use a range of texts for specific purposes. For my “Evaluating Leaders” research I have been researching about Mother Teresa and Sir Edmund Hillary. During this unit I have had to use a range of strategies to find the information I needed on Google. This includes: Cross-checking Using Advanced Search I have achieved this goal because I cross-checked my new info that I found, making sure its true. My next step is to set a new reading goal.

WALT: Apply Striking and Fielding activities in a range of sports and activities. My Strengths The striking strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were standing on a good stance that would keep me balanced when batting and keeping my eyes on the ball as it headed towards me. The throwing and catching strategy I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were keeping the eyes on the ball unless it went high up. My Next Steps To improve my striking of a ball I need to keep a firm and correct grip when batting because it would create a more powerful hit. To Improve my catching and fielding I need to cup my hands as soon as possible once I'm in the right position to catch because if I didn't, it would probably fall out. The game that I enjoyed the most was Danish Rounders because it was fast paced and fun and it helped me with my striking skills.

Thinking Map Follow Up Practice Follow Up We learnt what the three authors purpose which was; P ersuade,  I nform, E ntertain By watching three videos that explained what they were Here  and we did a thinking map where we looked author's language that the author would use in their article. Then we looked at two articles that ranged from all the three purposes.
